Have you ever noticed that your gutters are leaky, rusty, or starting to look old? Lakeside Renovation & Design wants to help you invest and install a new gutter system for you home. Most homeowners would much rather being doing something else besides installing new gutters; Lakeside Renovation & Design wants to make it easy for you. Here are some things to look for to help you make this process easier.
Gutter Materials
Fun fact! Copper and aluminum do not rust. With our professionals installing them and little maintenance, copper and aluminum gutters can last decades. Steel is theoretically the strongest metal, but it will eventually rust.
Types Of Gutters
At Lakeside Renovation & Design, our most popular gutter we install in a half-round gutter, and we have no complaints on how they work. But, the K-style and the box gutters are going to perform better, because the capacity is greater.
Where Does The Downspout Go?
Here at Lakeside Renovation & Design our professionals will know where the downspout needs to be put. But typically, they are placed o the outside corner of the house. We also recommend that another downspout be put in the middle of the long runs.
When you get your gutters installed:
- Your supports should be two feet apart
- The back of the gutter should be behind the roof flashing so that water doesn’t leak between the gutter and the fascia board.
- Always use oversized downspouts
