Spring Maintenance Tasks
New growth, rain, and Spring cleaning are just around the corner. These tasks can help protect your home:
Indoor Tasks:
- Check your carbon monoxide and smoke detectors to ensure they’re in working order
- Clean your medicine cabinet, discarding medications that are expired
- Wash bedding; replace seasonal bedding
- Clean the fridge and kitchen cupboards
- Test your sump pump and schedule maintenance if necessary
Outdoor Tasks:
- Remove debris from your gutters
- Wash outdoor furniture and furniture cushions
- Install screens so you can keep doors and windows open
- Take a moment to fertilize your lawn and garden

Summer Maintenance Tasks
Indoor:
- Clean out your drains by pouring down 1/2 cup of baking soda followed by 1/2 cup of vinegar and boiling water ten minutes later
- Change filters in your home (heating, A/C, air purifier, refridgerator, (de)humidifier)
- Clean coffee pot, toaster, toaster over, can opener, and other countertop appliances
- Flush or drain your water heater
Outdoor:
- Open crawl space vents
- Trim your shrubs and trees
- Install any window A/C units and uncover central air unit
- Clean dryer vents
- Wash windows
Fall Maintenance Tasks
Indoor:
- Check carbon dioxide and smoke detectors again
- Wash or clean window coverings
- Check doors and windows for leaks and remedy
- Schedule a heater inspection
Outdoor:
